What’s the one question that Wayne gets asked the most?
“How did you get started in Stand-Up comedy?”
What’s his answer?
“The wrong kind of friends”
In 1999, under the advice from his friends, Wayne stepped on stage at the “Star and Garter” hotel in Melbourne and hasn’t looked back. He has now performed all around the country, appeared on both Television and Film and is a veteran of the Australian comedy scene.
In Melbourne, he was an integral member of two Improvised Theatre groups and started his film career and also appeared in several television commercials.
He now resides in Sydney, where he was one of the organisers of a mic in hand, voted the best comedy room in Sydney by Time Out magazine. He appears regularly in many television commercials and the occasional film. His talents in improvisation and his quick witted likability made him among the highest sort after MC’s in Sydney.
Wayne also carries a Bachelor of Music and was the Music Director of Manchoir, a choir of comedians who perform a cappella versions of many popular songs. He guided the men through many high profile gigs, including the Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass, and the Sydney Opera House.
In addition to all that, Wayne is also a skilled character animator and rigger. He trained online at iAnimate and was mentored by some of the World’s top animators at Dreamworks. He is responsible for many popular children’s videos on youtube, some of which have had over 265 million views and counting.
